Anyone familiar with the springfield P9? googled it and found out it's the US version of a CZ 75. My local shop has one in 45 ACP on consignment for $250. Is it worth it any thoughts would be helpful.
Yep, it's a nice pistol.
Springfield made these pistols in the U.S. from basic forgings imported from Tangfolio, in Italy. They make the "Witness" CZ clones, among others.
Anyhow, Springfield did the actual final machining of the parts and finishing, qualifying them for "Made in U.S.A." status.
I've never shot one of the .45 versions, but have seen them... at that price I'd grab it. The basic CZ design is, of course, based on the Browning Hi-Power, and is inherently reliable.
VERY nice guns.

Thanks for the info, Flyer. Now the only problem is deciding if I really want/need it, just bought a Kimber BP Ten II and already have 2 other 45's. When it rains it pours.
