Since there's no RDB-specific forum, I'll have to post this here. I recently acquired an RDB with the newer bolt carrier design (no action rod/spring catch). The action rod itself pops out fine, but cannot seem to remove the recoil action spring from the bolt carrier. Everything I've read says it's no longer captured, but this spring won't pull out. It feels attached at the base somewhere. Chances are it's a friction fit but without wanting to damage the spring by pulling or twisting it excessively, would like to know if anyone else has successfully removed it?
