P17 sight plate?

833 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Jeremiah2020
Hey Guys,

New member here…. I have three keltec firearms…. And just bought a P-17…. Which is a lot of fun!
but I’m having a hard time mounting a red dot…. Plates do not seem to be readily available for most footprints…. I see there is a 3d printed one on eBay for a Romeo sight…. I have a USO dot sight that has a vortex Viper footprint…. And it also has a Picatinny mount, that would also work for me since I will mostly be shooting suppressed…. And while cowitness would be nice…. Is not required….
can anyone point me in the right direction?
I know some guys have programs for 3D printing…. But tech for me is like giving a chimp a shot of bourbon and a live granade!

I found a red dot advertised in an Email for $19 and I purchased 2. It fits the 17 and the prm 30. Next week I'll take them to the range and see just how good they are. They seem to be good quality and they fit perfectly on each.
I bought a Romeo Zero which is supposed to mount directly to the slide…. Only issue is the slide screws appear to be made of foam rubber…. Super soft, and I am afraid I May strip them out…. Gonna try the soldering iron trick….see if that does it or may have to use an EZ-out to remove them….. nothing is ever easy!

It's a bit late, but it would be nice to post the link so others might take advantage of the deal...
