Purchased P-32 over a year ago and based upon it I also purchased P-11 9MM, Sub 2K 9MM and about 2 months ago a p-3AT. P-32 is as reliable as a clock and allowed me to carry at all times which was not always poss w/ S&W 5 shot. P-32 is very accurate (much more than P-3AT for me) and is mainly shot 4-5 times a week w/ Lyman 311252 77 gr cast (tumble lubed) with light loads of BE. It is carried with WW Silvertips and I use round balls for practice in basement.I especially like light recoil spring, 8 rounds and lock open feature.

Purchased P-3AT that had some FTE problems which I believe were caused by my grip. I'm on my second box of 1000 FMJ's with it and I believe it is going to go live somewhere else. I really don't think there is that much difference in stopping power given where one of these would be used and I cannot get accuracry to match P-32. In addition, the .380 really beats up the brass and I have a lot of case splits after 2-3 reloads of light charges of BE or Unique. I played around with chronograph to try and isolate the best load and its possible its just the FMJ's. I tested Federal Hydro-Shok and they grouped right with reloads.

I've shot .32 ACP for years in PP's and PPK's so MAYBE I just like the .32 and that is coloring my opinion. MAYBE my hoard of better than 10,000 cases (no one wants them from indoor ranges) has something to do with it too!

P-32 is very controllable and I've used the Silvertips a few times down on the farm to eliminate pests and I have a lot of confidence in it. I'd be interested in hearing others experiences with P-32 vs P-3AT.

I want to thank Flyer for his article of flywires. Made one yesterday afternoon and works great.

P-32 wins

You are absolutely right about the P-32. I bought a Colt Mustang 380 in stainless to carry conceiled but I found it to be uncomfortable. Pretty gun and a real good shooter but carrying it in my waistband in a waistband holster caused the hammer to stick into my stomach. then carried it with the holster clipped to my right pants pocket and always had to wear my shirt outside making me feel selfconcious. I bought the P-32 took it to the range and fired one clip of Speer golddots and I was sold. Shot a beatiful group right out of the box using point to aim. It's not a range gun for me but i carry it everywere in my pocket in a Uncle Mikes #2 and it doesn't look any more than a wallet and very light. You made a good choice for a concieled weapon and a good group of seven will put anyone down.

ruger,
Welcome to the Range!
Yep, the #1 component of defensive handgunning is shot placement... and it sounds as if you're practicing enough to put 'em where it counts!
The P-32 is an excellent choice.

I purchased a NorthAmerican Gaurdian for use as a backup/hide out/ pocket pistol, but the lil' sucker was so heavy, it was uncomfortable to carry. Kinda thick, & definately heavy for it's size. Im MUCH happier with my P-32. it's lighter, flatter, and I've never had a problemwith it feeding or ejecting, unlike the NAA pistol.

great reports. have all of you noticed lately just how great these kt's are working anymore the bugs are gone from the kt's IMO, and that is what truly makes a good weapon. Accuracy, well have two 380 kt and one 32 kt, and all three are more accurate than I will ever be, match guns they are not but they will put them in COM :D every time from 7 yards with no effort, My wife can even do that with her 32 kt. Just super peaces and what fun guns to shoot.

dam, I paid $125.00 for mine, used of course. It was a pretty good investment....in this case, the price of peace of mind cost about a days work-- not too bad!

heh of a buy IMO. shoot a new one, one time and it is used. so no big deal to me. Tomy knowledge I havenever seen any kt that was USED that it wasn't worth a $125. IMO you stole that gun at that price...

yeah-- I drove about 100 miles to get it and spent fifty bucks on dinner for me and my dad(he came with me), but it was worth the trip for sure. I've been working a lot of nightshifts lately, and the little p32 resides in my left pocket, where it will stay until my PF9 makes it to my local gun store-- then it will ride in my wife's purse!

Happy with the p32 but...

I dumped by p11 (9mm). The 32 has worked flawlessly, never a fte or ftf, but I had nothing but problems with the p11 and fte. I got a new ejector put on from KT, and the problems still were there. Hats off to the p32 and lots of work needed to rebuild the reputation on the p11.

I had two friends who bought the p11 at the same time as me and they got rid of them as well, and another friend that's got the 380 who has had no problems. Anyway, my 2 cents worth.

I'd like to think the new pf9 will be a keeper but my confidence was shaken on the p11 history. If they can make that new one as flawless as the 32, it will be a home run. If they don't, it can be a paperweight lke so many of the p11s have turned into.

I had a similar experience with a used P11 I bought a while back..while it might have been able to be fixed I seized an opportunity to resell it (at minimal loss). My new Glock19 serves as my primary nine for now..though I am looking forward to a nice Parkerized PF-9(hopefully problem free  ).I'm not beyond trying another P11..but would like to see a 2G model with a better/newer trigger system(hopefully in the near future :D )My P32 to has been perfect all around. Cheers

Just so you guys know, your negative experiences with the P11 are far from the norm. Usually, they are exceptionally reliable and trouble free as is the P32.

I have to agree with TxCajun!

I don't think I've seen more than a handful of negative reports on the P-11 as far as functionality and reliability. My P-11 was purchased used from a shop that I know and trust. I was told the original owner traded it in for a P3AT just to downsize. I bought the P-11 and shot every kind of ammunition I could find, with absolutely NO problems. I think that gun would have cycled cat turds if you could have seated primers on them. And stupid me, I traded the perfectly good P-11 for a new P3AT.

Maybe someone will start a poll on the reliability of the P-11. That would be interesting.

I know of three friends that 'had' p11's and 3 that had problems. I know I hear of the success on this site, but unfortunately, us three never realized the same dependability that some have. I tried to get it repaired from KT and they sent me an extractor which I replaced. It helped, but did not fix it.

My friends were not so patient, and even when I go to gun shops that sell them, they don't speak highly of them. That's what I go on - my experiences and the dealers experiences. BUT the 32 has been fine, which is the fristrating point. If the 9mm was as reliable for us, we'd probably still have them.

Agreed..I've heard many a Positive Report (tho some neg.) from P11 owners around other gun forums(not just KT forums)..thats partially why when buying my Glock I opted for the G19 instead of the 26 because I knew I'd be filling that roll (of a Sub-Compact sized gun)with a KT..either another P11 or the PF-9(or both  ).If I get another 1G P11 I'll probably buy new (also Parkerized) and be more patient with it(as far as trigger pull,f&b,fixing etc..if necessary)...the 12+1 capability with an optional flush fitting mag on the P11 just sounds too good to me. :D
