I am looking at a P-11 and the owner claims the slide is stainless. He says that Kel-Tec made them before going to chrome. Is this true?

Yes!, Kel-Tec sent me a parts list and on the parts list under item no.152 it states P-11 Slide Stainless slide $90 and item no.100 P-11 Barrel Stainless $110.
I called Kel-Tec up and tryed to order these parts and they told me that they no longer sell them that those was the 1st generation

Unless you are looking for a collector's item, or have checked with Kel-Tec to see if they will exchange the slide (most likely) I would pass on a stainless P-11. It is my understanding that they were discontinued because of a cracking problem.

I have a Stainless that I bought used, put 800+ rounds through it to date no cracks or any other problems.

I have over 4000 rounds through my P-11. I'd like to know if a stainless ever reached that number. Rick
