Howdy KTRangers,
We decided to launch a new forum.
In the "Maximizing Miniaturization" area, we'll be posting the newest mods we perfect, our own ammo tests, and things of that nature proprietary to KTRange.
I'll most likely start it off tomorrow with an article about the "FlyerWire" with some pics, since it's the single thing I'm asked about the most. I've never adequately explained the concept, so this seems like the place to do it. Other articles will follow...
You might say this is where we'll keep KTRange's "Secrets"!
Everybody's gotta have a few, ya'know!!!

Flyer, the Rit dye is a great idea, now if we could just make one patriotic, say with red, white and blue stripes   ????

Figure it was about time to post on this topic since I have posted on the rest today. I like the black but want a Red white and blue one too!
mepro night sights on p3at

1 of my workers and i machined a set of glock mepro lights down to sg P3AT size. we machined a small cross grouve to keep the rear sight square and a bolt thru slide and sight. the front sight is sitting in a machined oval and retained by its factory screw. adds a 1/4" height to gun but looks and works great. now i have every thing that i have in my big guns when i have to carry bug as primary. it works
We need to see some pics of that, jeffstone1. :)

I would also like to see that :)
Yep.
Post some pics.

meprolight sight

i will be happy to show pictures but one of you youngsters is going to have to tell me how to get from digital camera or adobe photoshop to this post.

just a dumb cajun living in ******* country
May I suggest taking the pix from a bit farther away so they are in focus and then cropping out the unwanted area. Or let us crop it out if need be. The out of focus pix really don't show a thing....

Thanks
This looks really promising, but better photos are necessary. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort. Good luck with the pictures.
Three dot sights on my P3-AT.

I don't think I am the first to do this but I bought two 1/8 dewalt
drill bits -tungston carbide (around 3.00 for both ) and hand drilled
the front sight dot and 2 rear sight dots and then took a toothpick
and put a dot of rustolium white primer in the dots and it looks great.

However they are not adjustable and I haven't tried shooting with
the three dot system yet so i don,t exactly know where they will
sight on the target.

I will try to take some pics when I get some time and post them if
anyone is interested.

Very nice. What did you use for the markings?
Wrapped masking tape around drill bits for grip
and slowly twisted until indent was deep enough for paint.

Just be very deliberate and careful the start hole is exactly in
the center.
I kinda meant the little white thingies...
actually, instead of trying to put tape directly on the bits, you might have done well to leave them along and wear tight fitting rubber gloves for "gription" *)

How did you pilot the bit to get it started? Just by hand twirling the bit?

It really looks nice, although I "point shoot" all my short barrel weapons, I may just add the dots "just because" :)

That's exactly what I did.
I know this is an old thread, ~ a year, but this refers to what i am looking to do to my p3at with some rust-oleum appliance touch up paint...

was just curious about the drilling. you say you started it by hand drilling, did you do the rest with a power drill?

or if this guy isn't around anymore, any suggestions from the more regular members? i might start out with just dots on the outside of the metal... probably the 2 and 1 configuration as shown in jackde52's picture... i think that looks good. likely not practical for defense but most likely useful for range time.
