    DAO carry

I was wondering if you guys carry with a round in the chamber or not. It seems that if you need to pull the gun for a good reason then trying to jack one into the chamber might just give the bad guy the advantage. I do carry my S&W 6946 that way and have my wife carry her P-3At that way as well. But if the general concenses(sp) is not to I will follow the advice of the majority.

The general consensus amongst KTRange members is that the KT pistols are designed for carry with one in the tube. Unless one forcefully squeezes the trigger, the guns should not fire.

There have been many discussions on this subject, and if you will spend a bit of time reading through the various threads you will find more than you asked for

For the most part, I would bet that with the KT pistols there are NO Accidental Discharges.... they would be Negligent Discharges!

Your p3 is double action plus this gun has a hammer block that will not move until trigger is pulled all the way back. Buy a good pocket holster and you shall be good to go with one in the pipe.

I consistently wonder whether UM's pocket holsters qualify as such. There's nothing like kydex to truly protect the trigger from catching on anything when you've got one in the pipe. Does anyone actually have one of those oldgrandfather kydex/plastic in the pocket holsters, and if so, how is it comfort/conceal/trigger protection-wise?

(Sorry if this constitutes a thread hijacking. Ignore my post if you consider it such.)

This subject comes up so often we outta patent it - it's not really in the public domain since it only involves KT pistols for some reason (mostly anyhow).

You may as well carry a lead pipe without a round chambered. Just make sure it is well holstered, it will not accidentally fire UNLESS you are a Politician, in which case it will magically discharge when you eject the magazine.
