Trying to attach a recoil pad need advice

I just bought a KSG-25 and took it for a 100 round trial run (ow my shoulder)and I more or less left it stock. However, I did use a recoil pad attached by friction. The thing is there isn't enough surface on the underside of the stock for it to grip. I tried using velcro to connect it, but the glue isn't strong enough to hold up to the recoil, and I don't want to use something stronger that I might not be able to remove. I am kind of out of ideas on how to secure it, so if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.

You have any pics of the recoil pad?
Might be able to help you better if I knew what I was dealing with.
