Question? What brand mag to go with in 9mm?

Looking to get a sub-200 but wonder which is best and cheapest HI-CAP mag out there S&W,GLOCK OR BERETTA.Thanks ,J.R.

ps,forgot that I have S&W 59'S for my P-11,the P-11 hates these mags but they work just fine in a Daewoo DP-51??

I don't know how much cheaper you can get than free. If you have a number of S&W mags, why not go with those?

Go with the Smiths if you've got them. When I was shopping for mine, I had Smith mags, but no one could find me a Sub that took them. I finally gave up on that, sold the mags, got a Sub in Glock format, and got a G17 to go with it.

mine was Beretta, but Beretta packaged mags would not work properly I did find a couple of completely blank, unmarked mags that were marketed for Beretta that worked perfectly. Apparantly magazine precision fit is extremely important.

The fit issue is important. I have found w/ my Glock format Sub, it works great with Glock factory mags, but I have not found an aftermarket mag that will stay in the thing. Even "brand name" aftermarket mags that work perfectly in the Glock won't work worth a poop in the Sub...go figure.

Considering how cheap the Glock factory mags have become, I am not sure I see the allure of the aftermarket ones.

This is true, but at the time I got the aftermarket mags, the Glock mags were quite a bit higher. I now only get the factory mags.

ok,I see how the Beretta and Glocks do anyone wish to comment on the S&W's. Mine don't do that great in my P-11 but feed and function great in the Daewoo DP-51(THEY JUST HANG DOWN A LITTLE) I've just sold 2 Beretta '92 mags(no gun) but have 3 more I'm selling! Is Glock the way to go???? J.R.

J R Ihave two S2K's both of them in S&W ,there are two types of S&W 59 mags, the later one sometimes will not work in P11's .The mag cut out is slightly different. If you are good with a file this can be solved fairly quickly. Hope this help,oh IMHO MEC-Gar are the best mags out there.Doug

Factory S&W 59 magazines fit fie in my sub. Havn't shot the gun yet to see how they work. I also use the factory S&W 59 mags in my P-11. Had some feeding problems with them until I put in Wolf +10% springs. Mec-Gar magazines will not fit in either my P-11 or S&W version Sub Rifle. They won't lock into place.
