Howdy, new user. I just found this Kel-Tec board today...

I just retired from the Army and have lots of 'toys' gathered over the years I bought for use with my issued M4s and M16s while I was in. I've got an EoTech site, an ACOG, BUIS, and some other do-dads that go on rails and such.

Anyhow, I miss having an M4 to take out and shoot and had thought about getting a civilian model. During research I fond out about the Kel-Tec SU16 series. It looks like it would be a lower cost alternative I could get to feed my need.

So, a few questions:

1. Anyone have any experience with an ACOG on the SU-16. I love this sight? If not that - how about the EoTech?

3. Anything else I ought to know from shooters that have used the M4 and want to comment about the SU-16. I'd really like to hear from folks that have a good background with the M4 and own a SU-16.

If I get one, mods I would like to make are a front rail, flash suppressor or muzzle brake, better iron sites, mag light, front "gangster grip", and put either my EoTech or ACOG on. I'd also like to look at a collapsible stock/pistol grip combo.
