pivot point on stock Charlie bipod/forend loose.

I've paid down on a SU-16C, and while in the gun shop I was handling the rifle and trying out the folding bipod. When I folded the forend out to the bipod position it seemed loose at the pivot point where it attaches to the rifle under the gas block. Are all the "Charlie" models that way? I need some feedback from some of you owners. Should the bipod be that loose? It seems to be snug and sturdy at that point when in the closed position. Thanks for any feedback.

It does have a certain degree of play in it, but who cares anywho it's worse than useless as a bipod so get yerself a compact forend instead.

Already ordered one, and seeing your mod with the added rails is partly to blame. Gee thnx stevil.

Seriously though, I was just ignorant as to whether it was by design, or a defect.

I've been looking for a pic of the stock folded on a compact forend. Does the compact forend interfere with a full fold? The stock folds into a pocket on the original bipod forend.
