    Cleaning SU-16.

I have just purchased a SU-16 and upon field stripping it, I noticed that there is no way to get a stiff cleaning rod in from the breach end. I hate to push anything down from the muzzle end.

Using a flexi (string type) and pulling it from the muzzle end prevents one from using a "jaggie" type plug to hold a patch.

How do you folks clean the SU-16??

    Thanks...

The Otis cleaning system seems to have a large following in the High Speed - Low Drag crowd. The cleaning rod is flexable but stiff, like an old-time speedometer cable. Goes around corners, but stiff enough to push brushes, jags, etc.
Not cheap, but very very good!

The woods are lovely, dark and thick, but I have many butts to kick, and some to poke, and just one stick.

    Thanks

Thanks for the pointer. Very good site. Learned a lot. I am in Tampa at the moment so tomorrow I will check some of the stores and see if I can find something suitable.

    Thanks again.

    lost.
