I am having a hard time figuring out if the the KSG shotgun meets Il requirements for OAL or not. As far as I can tell the minimum OAL is still 26" in Il.
But I have had a dealer tell me that the OAL was 30" and the KSG would not qualify?

and what is the idiotic Illinois "round count limit"? That may just be the fly in the ointment.

Shotguns... OAL = 26" BBL. length no less than 18" Rifles can have a 16" BBL. As far as ammo capacity , depends on where you are. Most of Illinois anything is legal . Northern cities are where you run into problems.
In the socialist state of illinois there is no magazine limit unless you live Cook Co. (The state of Chicago) There it is 10 ronds. What I had heard was the OAL was the issue, not mag capacity. Everything I can find so far says that 26" is the Minimum. Problem is you never know when they will change things and not say a word about it.
Shotguns are limited to three rounds for hunting. In your home you can have as many as you want, as long as you don't live in Crook County, of course.
For my information: OAL refers to the length of the entire shotgun?
Curley, yep...OAL is the length of the entire shotgun.
