Smile Failure to extract problem solved

I bought a PF9 a couple of months ago and loved the size, looks and feel of it. Unfortunately, I had failure to extract problems. Kel Tec sent an extractor kit, which did not help. I bought a second magazine and tried different ammo. Had a range officer try it ....It still did not work. I sent the gun in (shipping courtesy of Kel Tec) and got it back 2 weeks later. The packing slip said that they had replaced the barrel and/or the slide as well as polishing the feed ramp and test fired. (I had noticed upon close inspection that the inside of the chamber was pitted, and I think that this was the problem). I cleaned and lubed it and took it to the range today. I fired about 50 rounds of 4 kinds of ammo - Federal 115 gr. FMJ, Winchester white box, Federal 9BP Hi-Shok JHP and Hornady Critical Defense 115 gr. FTX. I fired some two handed as well as one handed - both right and left...... Not one single malfunction of any kind! I bought a little knife holster for $6 at Bass Pro for my spare mag...Now I can carry the little PF9 with confidence!

if you polish the chamber it helps. my p3at was a bear when it came to ejecting a case untill i did the work. on my pf9 the chamber looked ruff, so i did a polishing job on it. to me it seems to run better now,,,, except the light strikes,,,,,except the mag ejection when fired,,,,,, just other things that i am working on with free parts from kel tec.

I was having the same issue and I found a fix that actually did it over at:

Kel-Tec pf9 FTE - Failure To Eject problems

I've taken my KT to the range at least a dozen times since this worked and had no problems whatsoever through about 70 rounds. After that it starts to have too much carbon build-up, but I think that's an inherent issue with the subcompacts.
