A while ago I did too much material removal on my trigger. Trying to smooth it out and it became to short and now my finger catches under it when shooting. I would like to replace it but have a question-do they have to be cut off to be replaced?

P-3 has no access hole in the frame to push the trigger pin out, so the trigger must be broken to remove it:

Last night I got my X-acto knives out and in literally five seconds solved the problem of the uncomfortable trigger. KT puts those "ridges" on the lateral borders of the trigger that feel sharp to those of us who arenot sufficiently calloused. My point is that the material pealed off with no problem and and left a beautiful finish. I worked the gun over, inside the trigger guard and the magazine butt. Feels much kinder to the hand. My point: I vote for the X-acto over sandpaper for this job, especially for getting into the trigger and inside the trigger guard. Thank you for your support.
