It's been chronoed, gello shot and posted by he who shall remain nameless, but who's initals are EM.

Great expansion with only about 8in of penetration. That was out of a Kel-tec, or perhaps a Guardian, IIRC.

I ordered three boxes (back-ordered). When they arrive, maybe OG will allow me to send him a box for wet pack testing...

That would be great, especially since he has a new 2nd gen 3AT. However, we may have to wait since his range is now waterfowl habitat and closed for the season. Oh well, the back order may take a while anyhow.

I'm sure he won't mind putting his wetpack testing up against "he who shall remain nameless". In fact, I think he'll rather enjoy that.

    fair enough!

I'd be pleased (honored) to test the DPX with the P3AT in my next wetpack test, end of January. Don't need a whole box, 10 rounds would be enough.

Limited data (other than the "un-named" source) I found was done with a Bersa Thunder 380 and got 1067fps, excellent expansion, but only 5"penetration in a wetpack. The round is rated as a standard pressure round so it should be OK in the P3AT.

It will indeed be interesting to do this test since I also have a Bersa Thunder 380 that will give us a direct comparison with the P3AT. And also compare with other peoples tests.

Let me know when the DPX comes in and we can pm some mailing info.

p.s. just went to the "un-named" site and read the .380 DPX test results, in gelatin of course. I will not comment on the reasons for rationalizing why 8" penetration was "acceptable" , but those of you that know can figure it out. Anybody needing to know how to get to the "un-named" site can pm me. I'll also give my comments on penetration in a pm, but not here.

I got this in an email from Cor-bon today...

We have determined the price previously listed for 380 AUTO DPX was incorrectly listed. ALL orders of 380 AUTO DPX placed previous to today will be charged the $13.82 rate as advertised on the web shopping cart.

Going forward from this afternoon the actual retail price for 380 AUTO DPX is $19.15 plus shipping fees.

    Thank you
Looks like somebody made an ooops... Glad I ordered three boxes at the lower price!

still planning to test your DPX

I'm still planning to test your DPX but it will be later this month. I just finished a wetpack test at my friend's farm. It turned out great and I'll post the results soon.

Me too!! I'll bet a smiley on those alters expansion quite a bit.

It's strange they still don't show it on their web site:

Now all we need is the promised DoubleTap rounds!
